Description
English: The political rivalry between President Salva Kiir and former South Sudan first Vice-President Riek Machar which sparked a civil war in 2013, killing hundreds and sending an estimated one million people fleeing to neighboring countries seems to have erupted again. Although, the two men signed a fragile peace deal a year ago, Machar has called for an armed struggle against the government of President Salva Kiir proning the country to a possible war. According to the UN Refugee Agency, South Sudan has more than 1.61 million internally displaced people, and another 261,000 are refugees from other African countries; VOA’S Paul Ndiho reports.
