English: Chuck Scott, a penniless war veteran haunted by nightmares, becomes chauffeur to gangster Eddie Roman after returning his lost wallet. Falling in love with Roman's imprisoned wife, Chuck gets entangled in a dangerous web of deceit and murder as he strives to clear his name and escape with her to Cuba.
