[edit]
Description
English: VOA’s journalist Michael Atit is in Khartoum and a short time ago he reported the following:

- The arrest of government officials by Sudanese military leaders including Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok and political parties leaders. - Telecommunications are shut down. - Mass protests in the streets of the capital Khartoum and Omdurman. - Military sources say the arrest of political leaders meant to clear those who remain obstacles to the full implementation of the constitutional document, which was drafted as the transitional government was formed in 2019.
